A radiating broadcast from and for the senses!
The performance format and series ‘Dress-Rehearsals’ sits at a twilight-place between various materials from my artistic research “Inter-Materiality Mode’. The performance is activated via the soundtrack on the ‘Inter-Materiality Mode’ tape cassette in a proto-esoteric gathering. Texts, poems, songs, costumes, instruments, games, scores, audience, performer, and collective activities congregate into a dynamic constellation, a ‘living archive’, and create a new sense of togetherness.
The relation of the performance materials to my South American background and the ancestry lines of my artistic practices propose an approach to a decolonialism. The disruption of performance modes, value systems, forms of spectatorship and authorship provoke a feeling of uncertainty and question epistemologies common to the global north. The dramaturgy of the work is shaped by varying and chance factors, no performance is the same. Only at the end a collective whistle-weaving score provides a sense of grounding and ties into Amerindian cosmologies of multiplicity.
